Like I said in my last ‘Finding My Mom Style’ post, before Teagan I never put much thought into what I wore because I didn’t need to. I could wear what I wanted and didn’t have to worry about functionality. After having a baby I think a lot of women choose function over style which I completely understand; I did that too for the better half of Teagan’s first year. What I’ve come to realize over the last several months is you don’t have to sacrifice one for the other.

Finding stylish yet functional clothing can be super easy if you are looking in the right places. I have been obsessed with PinkBlush since my pregnancy and their clothes transition really well into motherhood. I will do a post in the future on how I have carried my maternity clothing into motherhood but this post is about two great pieces I got that I think check both of my boxes when I look for my new everyday “mom clothes”.

The first piece is this beautiful striped maxi dress. My husband hates maxi’s but honestly, they just make sense for my life right now. Its summer, I want to wear dresses right now but I also don’t want to run the risk of Teagan lifting up my dress and showing the world where she came from, if you know what I mean.

I got the small and the length is perfect. I am 5’7” just so you have an idea. I have a very narrow figure, I wasn’t blessed with that beautiful hourglass figure so I personally don’t think this is the most flattering dress on me just because it isn’t fitted in the waist area but it’s so super comfortable and makes moving about with a toddler easy. If I wanted to give it a more fitted look it would be easy to just add a belt or maybe a little jean jacket and bam, my narrow frame as a figure.

The second piece I got was this distressed crisscross neck top. When I saw it online I just loved it because it looked a little more edgy and I don’t have anything like it. It says it’s a light blue but in person it’s more of a mint color which I was really excited about because that’s my favorite.

I love this whole crisscross trend happening right now. I think it’s just really flattering on everyone. This shirt is really lightweight and super soft. You can wear it with anything; jean shorts, white jeans, really anything. It’s not tight or form fitting which is perfect for me because I’m not trying to put my mom bod on display. It’s just a really great tee that just has that little something extra.

PinkBlush has really become my go to for all types of clothing. I feel like it’s evolving with my life from maternity into postpartum and now into life with a toddler. They have something for everyone, no matter what stage of life you are in or what size you are.
