Like I said in my last ‘Finding My Mom Style’ post, before Teagan I never put much thought into what I wore because I didn’t need to. I could wear what I wanted and didn’t have to worry about functionality. After having a baby I think a lot of women choose function over style which I completely understand; I did that too for the better half of Teagan’s first year. What I’ve come to realize over the last several months is you don’t have to sacrifice one for the other.

Finding stylish yet functional clothing can be super easy if you are looking in the right places. I have been obsessed with PinkBlush since my pregnancy and their clothes transition really well into motherhood. I will do a post in the future on how I have carried my maternity clothing into motherhood but this post is about two great pieces I got that I think check both of my boxes when I look for my new everyday “mom clothes”.

The first piece is this beautiful striped maxi dress. My husband hates maxi’s but honestly, they just make sense for my life right now. Its summer, I want to wear dresses right now but I also don’t want to run the risk of Teagan lifting up my dress and showing the world where she came from, if you know what I mean.

I got the small and the length is perfect. I am 5’7” just so you have an idea. I have a very narrow figure, I wasn’t blessed with that beautiful hourglass figure so I personally don’t think this is the most flattering dress on me just because it isn’t fitted in the waist area but it’s so super comfortable and makes moving about with a toddler easy. If I wanted to give it a more fitted look it would be easy to just add a belt or maybe a little jean jacket and bam, my narrow frame as a figure.

The second piece I got was this distressed crisscross neck top. When I saw it online I just loved it because it looked a little more edgy and I don’t have anything like it. It says it’s a light blue but in person it’s more of a mint color which I was really excited about because that’s my favorite.

I love this whole crisscross trend happening right now. I think it’s just really flattering on everyone. This shirt is really lightweight and super soft. You can wear it with anything; jean shorts, white jeans, really anything. It’s not tight or form fitting which is perfect for me because I’m not trying to put my mom bod on display. It’s just a really great tee that just has that little something extra.

PinkBlush has really become my go to for all types of clothing. I feel like it’s evolving with my life from maternity into postpartum and now into life with a toddler. They have something for everyone, no matter what stage of life you are in or what size you are.

  • What a blessing this girl has been to my life. We randomly got connected through Young Living a year ago and have been so close ever since. She has inspired me to spend time with the Lord daily, to be honest in the struggles I deal with and genuinely builds me up. When you find someone you 100% vibe with, cherish that friendship. Support each other through the highs and lows. @dontmesswithmama forever grateful to you for connecting me with this little Oklahoma gem 💎

  • Seeing the farm, the plants and everything that goes into making these oils and products is mind blowing. I feel so confident that God put Young Living in my life for a reason and I feel so grateful to see all of this first hand! My heart is forever changed. 💕

  • This weekend went by so fast 💨 I leave on Tuesday to head to Young Living’s annual convention in Utah and I’ll be gone for 5 days! I’ve never left Beau over night and the longest I’ve been away from Teagan in her whole life is a single night. I’m really sad about it 😭 I’m so excited to meet so many of my besties in person (finally) and I know this trip will bless me in so many ways but my mama heart is sad. So I’m just living in this picture of my sweet T making pizza this weekend 🍕 .

  • This little sweet pea finished up her first week of camp today! I just love seeing that sweet face light up when she’s having so much fun with her new friends. I try to remind myself that she is just like me. I need interaction and adult conversation. And she needs interaction and conversation with kids her age. There is so much value in these kiddos getting to regularly interact with other kids. I’m so grateful we were able to get her into camp this summer despite the move and looking forward to another one soon! 💕
  • It’s #internationalessentialoilsday so you know I am here.for.it! This whole rack of plant based goodness fueling our bodies daily. I love having something to go to for all the things before I reach for medicines that really aren’t so great for our bodies. Don’t get me wrong, medications are still used in this house as needed but a whole lot less than they were 2 years ago and it’s because we have better tools now. Starting on this little oily journey has completely changed our lives. Physically. Emotionally. Financially. I mean it still kind of blows my mind how much I simply didn’t know about doing better before. I find it really difficult to pick a favorite oil anymore but I’ll give ya my current favorite diffuser blend.
-White Angelica and Stress Away
What’s your favorite blend?
  • This might be one of my favorite stages with my kids. Pure joy. Pure laughter. Pure love. 💙 my sweet Beau, please always stay so happy at heart.
