Like I said in my last ‘Finding My Mom Style’ post, before Teagan I never put much thought into what I wore because I didn’t need to. I could wear what I wanted and didn’t have to worry about functionality. After having a baby I think a lot of women choose function over style which I completely understand; I did that too for the better half of Teagan’s first year. What I’ve come to realize over the last several months is you don’t have to sacrifice one for the other.

Finding stylish yet functional clothing can be super easy if you are looking in the right places. I have been obsessed with PinkBlush since my pregnancy and their clothes transition really well into motherhood. I will do a post in the future on how I have carried my maternity clothing into motherhood but this post is about two great pieces I got that I think check both of my boxes when I look for my new everyday “mom clothes”.

The first piece is this beautiful striped maxi dress. My husband hates maxi’s but honestly, they just make sense for my life right now. Its summer, I want to wear dresses right now but I also don’t want to run the risk of Teagan lifting up my dress and showing the world where she came from, if you know what I mean.

I got the small and the length is perfect. I am 5’7” just so you have an idea. I have a very narrow figure, I wasn’t blessed with that beautiful hourglass figure so I personally don’t think this is the most flattering dress on me just because it isn’t fitted in the waist area but it’s so super comfortable and makes moving about with a toddler easy. If I wanted to give it a more fitted look it would be easy to just add a belt or maybe a little jean jacket and bam, my narrow frame as a figure.

The second piece I got was this distressed crisscross neck top. When I saw it online I just loved it because it looked a little more edgy and I don’t have anything like it. It says it’s a light blue but in person it’s more of a mint color which I was really excited about because that’s my favorite.

I love this whole crisscross trend happening right now. I think it’s just really flattering on everyone. This shirt is really lightweight and super soft. You can wear it with anything; jean shorts, white jeans, really anything. It’s not tight or form fitting which is perfect for me because I’m not trying to put my mom bod on display. It’s just a really great tee that just has that little something extra.

PinkBlush has really become my go to for all types of clothing. I feel like it’s evolving with my life from maternity into postpartum and now into life with a toddler. They have something for everyone, no matter what stage of life you are in or what size you are.

what do you think?

  • Saturday Bumpday! 🤰🏼 17 weeks today! I posted on my blog yesterday all about finding out we were pregnant, a little about my NIPT with @maternit21plus , and our gender reveal video and more pictures!! The link is in my bio 💙
  • This little handsome guy turned T W O ✌🏼 yesterday and we get to celebrate him this weekend! It’s safe to say he’s really got the whole stud number down in his 2 short years. I feel so grateful to have friends with kids the same age and I love getting to watch them grow together! Happy Birthday sweet Camden! 🎉💙 #ittakesavillage
  • S I X T E E N W E E K S today! Time seems to be flying by with this little boy! 💙 Cary and I each have two boy names we love, sadly they aren’t the same ones. We agreed on our little gal, Teagan, so quickly so please HELP and comment below and leave your suggestions on baby boy names! 💙
  • They haven’t yet mastered how to show each other affection! Teagan’s like “don’t touch me, boy!” And Cam’s like “get off my fire truck 🚒 “ I swear watching these two grow up together has been one of the highlights for me 😍
  • I’m afraid to say it but I feel like I might be turning a page slowly with this Hyperemesis. While that part of pregnancy has completely sucked, taken the joy out of my days, and made being a good mom to Teagan really difficult, there is one thing that has made this pregnancy so much easier and that’s @maternit21plus 💙 their non invasive prenatal test has taken some stress out of my days knowing my sweet little boy is healthy and I don’t have to worry about any surprises in his genetic health come September. That is getting me through each hard day of this pregnancy. We can’t wait to meet you little guy 💙💙 📷: @celticgrayphotography
  • I’m 15 weeks pregnant today. I don’t even know how that’s possible! People aren’t lying when they said time goes by so quickly the second pregnancy. Feeling so grateful to be growing this little guy and chasing my sweet girl around🤰🏼

  • I don’t know how I survived life or motherhood before I started using oils. I turn to these products for my energy boost, to give me a good nights sleep, for a little extra confidence, to tame toddler tantrums, to support a healthy pregnancy and so much more. I was so skeptical but I jumped in with both feet and we’ve never looked back 🌿
  • Those moments when you really hope your child’s sass will help them lead a company and not a prison gang 🤦🏼‍♀️
