It’s interesting to see how much our diaper bag has changed over the course of a year. I started out using a shoulder diaper bag which after several months proved to be the biggest parenting mistake ever. Successfully carrying a baby/baby carrier and a shoulder bag should be an Olympic sport. We quickly realized that a backpack diaper bag was really the only way to go. Not only has the bag changed, but so much of what is in it has changed.
We went from having to have bottles galore to snacks galore. Really…ALL THE SNACKS. Snacks are key to not having a toddler meltdown and being wildly embarrassed in a public location.
I started writing out words for this but it’s just a little awkward for a topic like this so this post is going to be short, sweet and full of LOTS OF PICTURES with captions 🙂 I have included links in the captions.
This Skip Hop Diaper Backpack is lightweight, spacious, and a good gender neutral bag. You can find it here.
All my essentials are in there, I promise! And there is still so much more room!
Hands down my favorite sippy cup of all time. You can purchase here.
Of course, gotta have my own essentials in there too! This wallet is a few years old so I couldn’t find the exact one but this one here is similar.
Hand/Face Wipes for obvious reasons and you can never have enough kleenex.
I was sent these wipes to test out by Happy Little Camper and I have to say right now I’m really loving them. They are all natural wipes. Teagan has sensitive skin so when her bum is getting a little red I use these because they have aloe vera. I wish they had a little more texture to them for those poopy diapers but it definitely doesn’t keep me from liking them. And you can get them on Amazon which is awesome. Find them here.
Snacks on snacks on snacks. You can find any of these in your local grocery store and this bib is thebomb.com. Go buy a similar one here.
Teagan is such a little monster when it comes to throwing her sippy cup and pacifier. It drives me absolutely bonkers. I was sent these two clips from HnyBaby and WE LOVE THEM. Both are so well made with amazing quality, durability and a lot of fun prints! The sippy cup strap has a non-slip material on the inside which is really helpful. I personally like this pacifier clip over other ones we have because the clip is plastic versus metal. Teagan always gets the metal ones off and then chews on them… poor baby teeth. She has yet to even be able to pull this one off. Everything in the shop is very reasonably priced. Go check out her shop here.
Always have to have an extra outfit. A bow because everyone always says how cute HE is…even when she is wearing all pink. And then a pair of socks for both of us in case we go to the indoor playground.
I keep my wipes in this Oxo Wipes case just because I find it slides in and out of my diaper bag easier than the small pack of wipes. We recently moved from Huggies Little Snugglers to Huggies Little Movers and have been really happy with them. She just moved to a size 5.
These little peel and stick disposable food mats are the absolute best. We are the type that take Teagan everywhere with us so if we are out eating it’s nice to be able to stick this onto the table and then at the end of a meal just take it off and have them throw it away. Power Crunch are my on the go snack and they are the best protein bar I’ve ever eaten.
I’m sure there are a few things I don’t have in there at the moment that I should like a changing mat and anti-bacterial spray but Teagan loves to take things out and hide them so they didn’t make it into the photo session. #momlife
